Forging start by getting your furnace hot. We start by chopping wood into smaller pieces, so one can start a fire. Here we used the triangle shaped blade, which normally is used to cut your metal part into two, as an fixed axe blade.
Forge needs airflow system, in the picture there can be seen some holes from which the air flow comes to the embers. As this is modern system, airflow is created by machines and you can control it ( there is L-shaped pipes under the table that control the valves ).
Small pieces of wood are put into forge and set on fire.
When the wood is burning well, the charcoals are put around it.
Adding airflow makes the fire burn better and coal also starts to burn.
In the end there is high temperature embers.
Tools used are pretty simple:
A hammer ( one has several kinds of these ) and anvil.
And manymany different kind of tongs to fit excatly one's work piece that gets too hot to hold even with hands covered in gloves.
And the it is time to heat the metal in order to be able to mold it to the form one wants.
